New Xbox in 08/09?

With MS Xbox-Div now working with Toshiba, the two are reportedly working on a unified chassis that will allow an Xbox 360 (of sorts) to be ’slotted’ into a 40″ Toshiba HD-TV ‘bay’ . . .
Bill Gates was recorded as saying he (MS) wanted the xbox 360 to be a “Set-top-Box” by the end of 2007 or 2008, so this is most likely the end result of these thoughts, and would fit in well with that notion.

Thats a bit soon though isnt it? I mean they only released the elite this year, and the regular 360 a couple of years ago!

Very interesting. Not to mention that this 360 will probably blow away the PS3. I'll definitely get it. xD The standard 360 is already wuppin the PS3, add the elite, and then add this? No chance.

another 360 hm i dont think sony can stand a chance agiants microsoft now unless sony tries another Ps but i think it would work.

I'm tired of new, better versions of consoles always coming out; especially when they are an extreme upgrade like this, not just some color change.

I spend 400 bucks on a system that got outdated in a year and a half with the Elite, and now this?!

well they want people to buy there consloes so they can make money,an every year theyll just think of a better console to put on the market.Like.... the 360 i bought like a year after it came out then they annouced the new 360 elite. next time im ganna wait for the better system an then buy it.

I really dont care, Xbox controllers have wayyyy to many buttons on them. Plus, the only real good reported games were Halo and GOW which both sucked ass IMO

I can't see why they always have to make new consoles, The next 20 years they will probably have PS 50's -_-, And Xbox 2000's lmao -_-"

most of these new consoles will have new buyers in mind, because games compatible with the 360 and the 360 elite will still work under this new console. lol

this doesn't seem that huge, the only thing worth getting the new version would be to get the built hd-dvd drive so they could put games on it...but they probally won't start doing that because people with the current 360 won't be able to play new games

plus the ps3 has plenty of stuff that can be added via firmware, so they can improve as well

A BIOS is NOT hardware, which is the

ENTIRE POINT

with new consoles.
