please, sombody help my son

hi everyone, my son is finding it hard to get off the first level on evil dead, fistfull of boomstick, he is trying to get into the tv station, but it tells him he is not strong enough, he is trying to do the extra strength spell, and i found online the combo ( R1, O, X ) The thing is, he cannot find the "o" button on his xbox controller, we are new to gaming, and my son is 8 years old, does anyone know what he needs to do to get into the tv station?
any help on this would be appreciated, thanks.

Im not sure if the xbox controller even has a O try the white or black botton under the coloured ones.
