Going for the xbox 360

I'm buying a xbox 360 with the 20gb hard drive. I don't need 120 GB like the elite but i wanted the HDMI. Is component and HDMI a bid difference? If i hooked the xbox 360 > component cable > 40" hdtv widescreen TV set, would the pictures come out nice? Thanks

Honestly, yes. It makes a very big difference. I would definately invest. Also, the 120gig doesnt seem needed now, but once you start filling the 20gigs up, youll be sorry. My advice--cough up the 80 extra bucks now, and you wont be complainin later.

I agree. I bought the 20gig consoles when they came out, and ran out fast. The 120gig is mainly for modders though, unless you burn alot of music and saves. As for 80, thats the best for a hardcore gamers that don't really plan on burning much music or modify. I personally bought the Elite, and I haven't regretted it whatsoever.

*Note* The dumb thing is, I kept my old 20gig console (Which was one of the first), and sometimes it turns on in the middle of night, which really blows when I was playing Halo with friends on both systems, and the Halo disc is still in...*Gunfire* *I shoot up from covers* "WTH is going on!?" | So I don't trust the 20gig anyways.

Component cables to a 40" HDTV should look fine - do you know if your HDTV is 720 or 1080p?

He's right. I have an elite, and I've already used up 40 GBs, but still have 80ish left. And the HDMI jack is great, it just makes the water effects in bioshock look even more amazing. Plus it's only 1 cable!
