Dang Microsoft Points!

So today I went to go get some more MSP and they don't sell 1600 point cards anymore. They changed them to 1400 point cards, and they sell for the same price as a 1600 point card, WTF? I pay $22 for a card with 200 points less then that $22 used to give me? :@

i can still get 1600 points and its actuly a little cheaper if you have a credit card and buy points online but say you dont have a credit card pay your mom the price of the points and have her buy it online problem solved

but in my area they are now selling things that look like microsoft points but their for xbl games like 5 bucks for geometry wars and they had a cool new headset made by skull candy but when i went to skull candys website i could not find the headset =(

yea but if you buy them off of the xbox live marketplace its a tad cheaper and arma plays A LOT of xbox live arcade games!!!!

It could be something that ms couldnt control, such as the price that the shop decided on to give them the best profit, or even as lozoot said the value of the USD.

They probably did use that excuse when asked about why they raised it. It's a good excuse too. It's not like they have to ship the microsoft points anywhere. They make so much profit it's ridiculous.

Oil Companies did that a few years ago: Well, Katrina messed up some oil drills so we bumped up gas a lot even though we gained billions of dollars in profit.

a large amount of oil in the states comes from foreign countries btw.

and i dont know about excuses that MS have come up with, i havent heard anything about that.... im just thinking about possible reasons.

look at the thread, it appears only one person has the issue, so i think its more local than a global MS issue..... its just a few shops charging more

if your store is like a small buisness and its not walmart or anything maby the guys trying to make some money i personaly support my local game store the games are a little more expensive but i like the ppl there so i dont mind
