Death the Kid is on a distinguished road
Default COD4(Xbox3600 Review *Third opinion*

Written by Death the Kid of the GameLair boards.
For the Xbox360 version

Call of Duty, a popular war themed game, Has finalley released the fourth title in the seires that is Somewhat Canon to the central story, if any. i see this as the perfect comeback from a sloppy Wii title, and the perfect seqaul to the other games.

the Campaign is very tasteful. there is a mission for every kind of fighter. "All Ghillied up" is perfect for sniper attributed players, and so on. the Controls will take some time to get used to, wether or not you've been playing Halo 3 on your Xbox360 for all multiplayer experience like most folk. The story of the Campagn revolves around two Soldiers for the USA, one who works for the standard Army unit, and one works for a more seacretive and sometimes stealth or tactitions unit. this makes another taste to each mission. in the Army unit, the battlefield will be ruthless and it's a simple mission - kill those guys, go there, kill these guys, find that guy, kill that guy. but with the special forces, you have more of an objective. such as escaping/infiltraiting enemy territory, hunting down a certain teamate, holding off enemy forces untill a helicopter can extract you, and etc.
As said before, you will be a little confused if you always play games like Halo. infact, in the first weeks, you will be complaining constantly that it's WAY to easy to die. and that is actualley one of the cons of the game. thanks to this, Taking cover and out smarting the enemy A.I. in Campagn is extremeley important. fighting Human opponents in multiplayer is a different story.

Multiplayer.. ahh.. as said for the third time, if you play a lot of Halo.. you're going to be extrmeley frusteraited for the first few weeks. Though being realistic is good, it sometimes turns out to be a con. take the sniping for example. thanks to your character's breathing, the scope moves up and down and ruins your aim. the screen will describe that by holding one of the bumpers, you can steady your breathing, but trust me, it never works. or at least hardly helps.
The Best stradegy for multiplayer is deffinently opposite of Campagn. since it's not 1 VS 20 A.I., it's time to take control.
meaning, you need to be ruthless and always rush in. this sounds idiotic, but i found that if you Become brave and drop the cowardly act, you can get in a lot of kills.
Now, the ranking system is a little odd. for starters, the game has In-Game acheivments, called "Barracks". by doing these challenges, from "Summoning 3 helicopters", or "Falling to your death from any height", you can earn new perks, new weapons, and a lot of skill points.
The perk system is also unique. they grant you both new equipment and specail abilities. everything from Claymores to RPG rockets, and from Stronger sheilds to faster speed. feel free to power up your character. but make sure you choose the most vital, because there are only three perk slots.
Dont fret, you can have up to five custom characters, with custom weapons, attatchments, and perks. you can change them everytime you respawn in a game.
Take two of my customs for example-

"Foot Soldior": an AK-47 with scope, a silencer equipped pistol, 3x grenade perk, increased armor perk, and increased attack perk.

"Tough Love": A Light Machine Gun with scope(the bigass guns that take forever to reload), 2x RPG perk, Increased reloading perk, Increased speed perk.

Now finalley, we come down to the final question. is it worth the purchase? is this a good game? Well of course! it becomes very addicting, and you can easily become good at it with the use of the right weapons and good aiming. the campagn never gets old. You could play "All Ghillied up" over and over again and never get bored. So it's deffinently a great purchase. The price is around $60 dollars, so if you saved up to buy something and your stuck deciding, this is worth your Sixty bucks.
