| The Critic | Inifinity Ward took WWII shooters to a whole new level. Some of the most fast-paced action, beautiful graphics, and one of the most epic single-player campaigns that have ever graced a video game. The A.I. (With some flaws) and framerate is top-notch and never lags and the character animations are excellent. Now with A.I., it's almost "too" good for your enemies. And I mean that in a negative way. And what I mean by that is when you're sniping an unaware enemy, he suddenly knows your there, even if you're pratically hidden with just enough space to snipe them out. Your allies A.I. is amazing. They back you up wherever you go and they even say where some enemies are, which is a big help. This was one of the 360's launch games and certainly the best. There are a total of three-campaigns. The Russian campaign, British Campaign, and the American campaign. Each with several missions, I think a total of 27. This is probaly one of the only FPS's that actually spent more time on Single-Player as opposed to multiplayer, as it being incredibly long. Just like Call of Duty 4, you just don't play as one character. In COD2, you are three different people, going along with the three different campaigns, and in COD4, it's two. This game actually incorpates smoke grenades as an important part in the whole game. In both easy and harder difficulties. All though you can survive without using them, they definitely make your survival chances much higher. And it also has one mission where you drive tanks, it's more of a long side-mission, however. All though driving the tanks is a little clunky with the turning, it's still fun as hell. I have never been addicted to a FPS this much since Goldeneye 007 and the N64 days. This game also puts use to rifles AND machine guns. In every other shooter, you can use a Tommy Gun through the whole thing. I also never liked using rifles at all, but in COD2, it made me fall in love with rifles. Like in every Medal of Honor game, if I used a rifle, it was only a sniper, but that was rarely. Just one thing that I didn't like. All though minor, you can't kill enemies when they're climbing over something until they hit the ground. For achievement whores! This is not a good game for achievements. You get 200 just going through the game, any difficulty. If you complete it on hard or veteran, you get 150 for, so 350 or 1,000. I think I'm right. Now to get to a 1,000, you have to beat every campaign (Every mission) on veteran. This game on veteran is the most frustrating thing ever. I almost broke my controller in half from getting pissed. But on easier difficulties, you'll want to play the game again, and again, and again. Concept: The greatest WWII shooter ever. And my personal favorite FPS. Graphics: Pratically amazing. Character animations are very smooth, as with details, but they could've used more with the weapons. All though they are amazing looking, it could've been better. Sound: You would think you're actually there. The gun shots are just pleasent to hear, as with grenades exploding, and just the voice-overs are incredible. Here's an example of how good the sound is, if you play enough of the single-player, you can sometimes be able to tell the different weapons your enemy, or ally, is using just from the sound of it shooting. Playability: One of the best control schemes ever. Entertaiment: I have had this much fun in a shooter since Goldeneye on the N64. I never though it'd be possibly for a shooter to top Goldeneye, but Call of Duty 2 has. Length: Possibly the lengthiest, and for me, the most addictive, single-player campaign in a FPS. Final Rating: 10/10. Some of you might know I changed the rating for Call of Duty 4 down to a 9.75, instead of a 10. Now THIS is shooting perfection.

| :O | Lawlz. I told you how great this one was a long time ago, how it was much better than CoD3. I played the game for a good solid 1+ year on LIVE. Me = Hardcore fan. But you were way wrong as far as longest fps's go... >.>

| The Critic | Well compared to today's standard FPS's, it is incredibly long. Well I probaly think it's the longest because right after I beat it, I skipped the credits, and immediately started playing it on Veteran. Currently on "The Silo". Probaly the most frustrating level in the game. I literally couldn't stop playing it.

![]() | I just started playing COD4. I like the game so much I had thought to play the earlier versions. Wonder if I will be disappointed. Perhaps I should hold out for COD5. | |||||||||||
