The typical American School is not like this. I live in one of the classified "worst" states for schooling, even though the particular public school that I attend has gotten a national blue ribbon, it is basically an average school.

Why didn't they show that school, eh?

Why not show the ACTUAL average school.

I swear, I know that a lot of the hostility/jokes that are aimed towards American intelligence are based from a few generations past of jealousy. Ya, it sounds like I'm sounding too "prideful" about my country, but I know for a fact that it's a better place than most Europeans seem to believe.

Agreed on thees videos they show only the worst, but I think US standards are lower then other countries, same goes for Germany, they are horrible in English and several other subjects, Ive been there myself and seen it.

Some schools in Norway are like that video as well, not many but some. That's only because of the small villages, and they built a closed society if you are not accepted you have troubles.


And at gamma how would you actually know that? The video sounds real, and I bet they research their facts very carefully before they publish them, also it is a US program. And we know from bowling for columbine that a lot of American schools suck.

Wtf....We have so many acts promoting school's cash. EVERY school has a sports team, a gym, etc. VERY few schools don't have a gym. Like, EVERY school is huge and clean. I've lived in MANY states.

Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Not once have I seen a school that was ANYWHERE near that.

And btw, if our educational system sucks so bad, why is Harvard considered the best college in the world?

yeah, my school is defiantly not like that, i got to a triple A school, that was also awarded the blue ribbon, and we have plenty of money, and a ton of students (around 2500 students attend), and our teachers (for the most part) are great at what they do and are excellent teachers. and for the low scores we have here, i wouldn't say that is due to stupidity or bad schools, just lazy people.

Having never seen an American school in real life, I feel I don't have the right to comment on that, but I agree with Harvard and MIT and Cal Tech being considered the best university's.

My son would love nothing more than to attend Cal Tech or MIT for his science degree.

Don't even get my started on the American Education system. I will spare you my rant and just say it isn't bad. I can get the education that I seek pretty easy, and getting into a college isn't hard. There is tons support for loans etc. All around I would say it is great. I didn't watch the video because I am sure it is just some c*** **** trying to make America seem worse then it is.
