emos/scene/emo posers

i am sick of people labeling others as emo when they are not emo!... despite what has become widely known as "emo".. emo is NOT skinny jeans, long black greasy hair combed over in a fringe, emo is NOT wanting to continuously kill yourself. "Emo" is not sidebangs, tight pants, and male vocalists who sing like little girls about their failed relationships. "Emo" is not the use of diluted, meaningless metaphors and similes such as "My arms are like pinecones," and most definitely is not the rampant use of words such as "autumn," "heart," "knife," "bleeding," "leaves," and "razorblade."

people who are like that, all end up looking the same are what we call "emo posers"... they search for emo bands on the net and download their songs and study their lyrics like mad and tell other people that the lyrics somehow "relate" to them, made up stupid sad sappy stories about their so-called love life (which actually doesn't even exist as they've never even had a bf/gf), they tend to over exaggerate their problems, cut their wrist JUST CAUSE every other emo kid does that, tell everybody; "Oh my god, I think I'm emo, I hate my life, everyone sucks, life is so sad, love sucks! *cuts wrist*"

another thing is people who are "scene"... these are people who do things just because other people do them. let me describe typical scene clothes, see how "emo" you think they are.

Scene Clothes:
Tight Band T-shirts
Obscure "Vintage" T-Shirts
Tight Girl Pants (on guys)
Super Straight Leg Pants (on girls)
Van Slip-Ons (2+ pairs)
Converse
White Studded belts
Fingerless Gloves
Bandanas on: wrist, head, in pocket, around neck etc.
Scene Hair:
MUST be 2+ colors and dyed in random sections. Red, Blonde, Black. (Neon Colors acceptable too.)
Choppy, and looks as if it was cut at home.
Almost mullet-like, with bangs.

sound emo to you?... ok if you disagree let me show you a typical "scene" picture:

you wouldn't believe the unbelievable amount of people who try to pass off their blatantly false pretenses as fact, and are slowly infecting others with their high-horse, holier-than-thou bull____. Because honestly, with these ridiculous definitions, Beethoven, George Gershwin, and Britney Spears are/was "emo bands."

right now i have that cleared up now for the REAL definition of emo people.

emo is simply someone who is overly emotional. Thats right, emo's can smile and be happy!... there is no "emo look", they look like themselves, wearing there own, unique, clothes (being unique is good right? everyone should have there own look rather than try to look like someone/thing else). NOT all skinny jeans and long black hair.

OR there is the emo music genre, which is purely a emotive form of hardcore punk music............ NOT songs about killing yourself.

You guys all think of scene kids when ever you hear the word "emo"....their all scene kids.

Only a true "emo" can be someone who has lost someone close to them such as family or friend....If your anything else your a scene kid.

Scene kids are gay..-.- I see them all the time, and it's unbelievably annoying. "My life sucks so badly, I wanna kill myself, nobody understands". I just want to slap them up the head.

They only do it because they're too lame to fit in with others, so they act like they don't want to, and thus, they get a little attention.

a few years ago mtv put "emo" as the next big thing, since then there has been scene kids acting "emo" just to be/look cool
