[Edited by Gamma] THIS IS NOT MY JOKE. I FOUND THIS ON THE INTERNET:

Paper is supposed to magically wrap around the rock, leaving it immobile? Then why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? In fact, screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college-ruled paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class? I'll tell you why. It's because paper can't beat anybody. A rock would tear that **** up in about 2 seconds flat, son. When I play rock-paper-scissors, I always choose rock, and when someone claims they've beaten me I punch them in the face with my already-clenched fist and then say "Oh **** sorry, I thought the paper would protect you, asshole."

Rocks are immobile therefore paper actually does no damage to the rock.

In fact, if a rock was covered in paper and then thrown in a river or into a fire the paper would actually be destroyed and the rock would remain intact

The designers of this game really didn't think it through well
