I hate it when members join Gamelair, and only post once, than disappear off of the face of this planet. It really "grinds my gears", even though this is more of a rant.

Than I guess it's up to you, to post frequently to keep Gamelair alive, it's not as dead as you think. And out of the 1000 members that join, probably 5 percent, even consider posting here.

Well sometimes it's because maybe they don't see what they like and just leave. Others come back months or so later and then post like crazy, who knows what those kinds of members might do. All we can do though is just sit and wait. Plus I myself thought that I was going to be one of those members, but then I got addicted....shame on meh^.^;

Got 25 posts, feel insulted  Meh, i joined because i wanted a slightly more gaming oriented forum than the WoW Off-Topic one, thought i'd give it a chance. Have bookmarked the page, hopefully i'll keep posting, or at least pop a post once every few days  I'm an internet addict so that's why Still pretty confused though, need to get myself one of them flashy signatures, WTB photoshop skills o.o also these little bars to the left of me say i have no life, not very encouraging >,< what are they for anyway? :O | |||||||||||

The bars are basically about your posting and your activity. Life is how active you are. Experience is, how a benchmark, for instance posting quite a bit would raise your EXP, and the Magic kind of sums up both of them.
