| Jorgi Potter Mod | Media Violence. Does it really affect us? It is a popular theory to violence that it’s the Medias fault. A kid kills another kill; well he listened to Marilyn Manson, it’s his fault. A dude rapes a child, well he saw it on a movie, it’s the movies fault. This is really ignorant and paranoid to say. Sure it may affect us, but it can affect us in a good way as well. We could get stimulated by the violence in the media. Like when I am angry I like to watch a bloody movie, I feel better. It is popular to say that death metal makes people more violent, but what about German? The land of Death metal, where like everyone likes it. It has one of the lowest violence percentage sin the world. "Violent games make people more violent." Wrong. Take Japan, the country with the most violent games in the world. Everyone loves blood. Everyone plays game where you can easily cut your enemy in pieces. Everyone loves the killing. But this country has the lowest crime percentage in the world. Also consider all the sick anime. Seriously. Also in Norway, we love the bloody stuff. We watch a lot of 18 year movies at the age of like 10, but it’s completely normal. Death metal is popular here, and we always talk about killing stuff, but never do it. It is like what 1-3 murders each year here There are different theories about Media Violence. That it affects us and makes us angry That it stimulates us, and makes us relaxed. That we are imitating our hero, and we want to do the stuff he does. I would say Media Violence is a weak excuse for all the bad things humans do. We don’t want to admit it is our fault, that we don’t have control. I’m writing a text about this, and I would like to hear your opinions as well. It would help me a lot. ![]() Does this movie makes you wanna slice people up real nice`? It may, but you will never do it right?

| Lord Hokage Super Mod | That picture actually makes me want to do her, for some reason. I think the media has to take the blame to a degree, for instance, there are some people who actually do these stupid things, due to something they've viewed on TV, well obviously they are not right in the heads, still. I would have to agree with the ignorance of some people who do blame the Media for there behaviour, which is pretty lame to say the least. | ||

| The Critic | This is one of the reasons I hate Jack Thompson. He blames EVERY crime committed by a teenager because of violent video games, he even tried to get GTA and Bully banned. He pays no attention to explicit lyrics or violent movies, just video games. It's all bull**** in general. I mean I doubt a kid is going to shoot up a school because he killed someone in a video game, or saw it in a movie. Plus, they blame it on video games because the person who commited the crime plays them. What the hell? Almost every teen I know plays video games.

| Custom User Title! | The blame should fall on the parents, not on the media. It is the parents' responsibility to make sure that their children are playing games and watching movies appropriate for their age. Quote:

ROFL LOL LOLOLOOOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOL LMAO ROFL!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Back to normal. I also don't believe that games/movies, entertainment in general, can cause violence. And the media itself is without a doubt violent..especially paparazzi.

But I thought you would post something more, like a total rant against someone, that would help me a lot. But true, The media itself IS violent. I'll give you some qoestions: Are we violent against media? What if Violence in Media affects us, isn't it weird that Japan, the country with the most violence through media also has the lowest crime % ? Is it stimulating us then? Some countries has a lot of crime, but maybe it's HOW the media provides and show us the violence. I think maybe what's wrong is that some countries have such a fear for violence and scream about it all the time, like psychos. but in Japan it is more relaxed, they kill people in games for fun. But they would never do it in real.
