I had a good idea from my ENG 112 class. ENG 112 is Argument-Based Research, a class I'm taking downtown for English. The teacher said that he will be giving us topics to argue for or against, and that we may even have to fight against our own personal opinion every once in a while, which gave me inspiration.

Everyone has difficulty viewing the other person's view, so I thought it would be VERY interesting if I made special threads where you switch sides. For example, I'm going to make another "Is God Truly Real?" thread, attach (opp) to the title, and then I'm going to argue for Christianity. Then all Christians can argue for Atheism.

If you don't like the idea, that's fine. I also thought this would be a nice way to filter out those that are biased toward their own opinion, and couldn't possibly change their mind no matter if their opinion was beat or not.

It would also be handy for learning more about the other person's side of view. I'm looking forward to it, I plan to enjoy it. Good luck.

I have to say, this looks pretty interesting, but hard to do successfully. It's hard to make people argument against their own beliefs, chances are that they'll use it to their own advantage and make their point of view look better.

Still, I think it might be worth the try.

Yeah, you have like 4 announcements about this, but still great ideas. But I don't think I can argue against myself, I tried it some times, but it is really hard, though fun.
