I made this thread to discuss all the games that are part of the Final Fantasy Series. I know that there are some games in the series that are only found on Nintendo game systems(NES &SNES) but I decided this forum would be the best possible one in which to discuss this topic as most of the recent Final Fantasy(FF) games are currently a part of Sony and being made and distributed for the Playstation.

Anyways, I'd like to discuss the earlier games first.

If someone would like to discuss a specific game(not neccessarily an older one, just one you wanna know more about or like and would like to discuss thoeries, storylines, characters, or the anything else) then just post so and this discussion will move on to that game.
Okay, to start things off, who has played the Final Fantasy games?

I only have played final fantasy 8 that's all. But in your opinion dominique, which FF game is the best because I don't know so much about FF. I've heard that FF7 is the best.

For me it's a toss up between FFVII(7) and FFVI(6). FFIX(9) is a close second(or would it be third?). Those three games have thus far had the best storylines, in my opinion, and were the most original in their plot. Really great ones.

Anything else anyone wants to know?

Do yuo know why they remaked FF7 now? You know FF7 advent children?

FFVII:Advent Children isn't a remake. It's a movie that takes place 2 years after FFVII the game took place. It's a really good movie. You should check it out if you haven't already seen it.

Dear Hero of Time, the reason for the abrupt reawakening of FFVII (Note: FFVII Advent Children, FFVII Crisis Core, FFVII Before Crisis, and FFVII Dirge of Cerberus) is because of the fanbase. Plus the original heads of the development team behind FFVII, most notably Tetsuya Nomura, felt that there was potential for further depth in their flagship masterpiece. As such, Squarenix has decided to release the FFVII Compilation. And these various titles over three consoles shall wrap up the story and some of the mysteries within the overall storyline. He's right! Advent Children isn't a remake but is still a very impressive follow-up to the original FFVII. The real remake of FFVII should grace the PS3 sometime within the 4th quarter of 2007.

Or let me just say this. If by FF6 you mean the one with Locke in it, then yeah.

And I think that the new Compilation will be pretty cool. They made a good move doing it.

when it came down for the first ones that came out for playstaion those were the good ones, but the new one thats out really isn't that spectacular.
