I've recently upgraded from Windows XP to Vista and ran into a small situation with using Fraps on Windows Vista. I will begin by using Counter-Strike: Source as the primary source of examples since i've been experimenting with this. When i'm playing CS:S on XP and use Fraps to record videos of CS:S they record fine from 25-40 fps which is decent and when played back they look smooth. Now that i've upgraded to Vista and I try to record me gaming, I get a tops of 10 fps, as if Fraps were limited to recording 10 fps only. I've tried the compatibility option on Fraps and set it to Windows XP compatibility but apparently this helped none what so ever. I seem to have problems with recording any games using Fraps on Vista, which I didnt have this situation on XP. I suppose one of the responses would be, "Wait until Fraps releases a version for Vista", but i'd like to get Fraps to work temporarily until they release a Vista version of Fraps. Any clues anyone? Thanks [Edited] Oh and now that i've upgraded to Vista i'm getting better frame rate in games from as much as 5fps on heavier games to 20fps!  | |||||||||||

What kind of computer setup do you have? I am looking up some software for you too  Have you ever used BitLord or other torrent application?

Yeah i didnt find many programs that are free. But a few that cost money. If you download a program from a torrent maybe you could let us in on it for future reference.
