Anti-virus software

i have tried lots of anti-virus software recently. but i want to know what people think is the best free anti-virus available. the best one I've come across is something called avira antivir personal edition classic. however bitfdefender 8, avast anti-virus, AVG free, AOL anti-virus among other are meant to be good. discuss

AOL anything blows because they are an evil empire bent on the death and destruction of all ppl just to make a buck. Avast is good. AVG is great but isnt free soon. Post a link to that avira. Never heard of it.

as i said it has stopped. but it is the one me and most of my family used for a while. you can still download it but there is no point as it will no longer update i think. although i might be wrong, here it is anyway AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic - More than Security

yo avg is free i had one that said in january it was going to change or some think like that but it gave me a update to the next one it's just the same but looks abit different the version is 7.5.432 just type it in on the internet

Yeah they said in a press conference that they are losing money so they decided to release a pro version and ditch their AVG free edition.

i think zone alarm pro is one of the best, tho it slows down the pc at firzst because it is learning all the programs and settings, but it has a good virus and spyware scanner built in, and alos a firewall u can configure parantel controls, and choose what programs to allow or deny access to the internet, if u want i can give the a keygen for it, just get the trial version from their site, and ask me for the keygenerator if u want it.

(also u can hide ur c from the interent so no other pc sees u and u can stop internet all at once, no internet in or out of ur pc

o, right now my dell was doing well without firewall or any virus protection software, it ran faster withour zonealarm, so i didnt install it, i am tryin out that avg and checking to c if it works good and all

idk but the free version that i got was only an anti-virus software not a firewall i like them were it is both firewall and ant virus
