Just so you guys are aware first. I'm not THAT good with computers so I'll explain to the best of my knowledge.

I know I'm on a shared connection, like I have a router and it splits the connection between my moms computer, my Wii, my Xbox, my computer and my moms laptop. This is what I don't understand, the connection works great on everything, even my xbox which is in the basement and the router is on the top floor. But on my computer, which is down the hall from the router, the connection is horrible. It took 10 minutes to get here to post this thread, no lies. I can't play any online games and it keeps signing me out of xfire and msn. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me make my internet actually work?

It sucks. I'm trying to play Diablo 2 with my brother and his friend and it keeps disconnecting me.

If you're playing online with your Xbox or something while you're trying to surf the internet, don't do that. It will use up too much bandwidth. Log out of XLive when you're not playing, make sure you're not downloading anything, so forth.

I'm not on Xbox, I'm not downloading anything. The only thing running while I play Diablo is Diablo. It is not just games, it is the overall connection. It takes forever to load a web page.

well, I just go to my network and connection settings and I diagnose the problem. If there isn't a problem, shut the computer down a few hours and bring it back up.

Try unplugging all the devices that are connected in you router and leave only the connection of your PC then try if that makes it faster.. If not, better look for an expert who can fix that.. That could be an easier way.. xD
