geez this pc would run faster if i stuck my hand through the case and did all the calculations myself.

Macs are just as bad as PCs. Only Linux is the answer.

The thing that I really like compared to PCs is that even though Macs will still freeze once in awhile (usually an easy fix) PCs will always slow down over time. They get worn down by viruses and spyware till their CPU speed is like half of what it used to be and the computer is using and running random resources that you don't want it to.

A PC is good because it has way more software and stuff. If you have a PC and know that you should restore it every few months then they have the edge over a mac user, imo.

I agree. In fact, I installed my XPLite this time around and installed all my favorite apps that I depend on without ever connecting it to the internet directly. Then I booted from a Ubuntu LiveCD and used 7zip to archive the entire HD. (About 2gb) and then I copied it to my iPod.

And after about 3-4 months, I will simply load up the LiveCD again and format the HD and unzip the archive again and it is exactly back to the way it was, and I will only need to change one or two things.

This is what I suggest to everyone if they don't switch to Linux.

hmm... perhaps because your crap pc doesnt have the right specs?

if you had 3 identicle pc's, and run linux, windows vista, or mac on each one.... the linux one would run faster.

but i wonder if it was vista vs leapord, i guess OSXL would run faster, but if it was XP (Which the majority of people still use) i think XP might just edge it.

until it gets a virus... then mac would out speed it... lol

mac for me right now is better because the viruses all aim for windows because its the bigger system right now.
