I'm looking at desktops and stuff on Google images, but whenever I put it as my backround its all fuzzy and squashed down. Is there any sites where I can make it less fuzzy and make it fit?

All I can think of is going to an image host, like image shack, and make it bigger so it fits your resolution...

get firefox and it lets you edit all the size and stuff
and its usually quicker browsing depending on your modem and stuff (better pipelining than IE, Opera etc.)

or, just right click on your desktop,

properties > desktop

and change stretched to tiled or centred or whatever

if its a small pic, try making it bigger on photoshop or whatever

Yeah, just try to pick a bigger one. Try setting to only search for large images.

im such a photoshop noob tbh, i just suggested it because i hoped someone would tell me how its done =D

i like INI and XML editing, so much easier, its just numbers and words, lovely simple straight forward numbers and words and a ****load of = signs

To resize a picture in Photoshop just open up the picture in Photoshop and then go to:

Help > Resize Image
Select Online
Change either width or height to your screens resolution.

So, if your resolution is 1024 x 768. Change the Width to 1024. You want to have a picture to be the same size or bigger than your resolution because if it's a smaller pic it will lose quality and look all grainy like you're talking about.

Find sites that would suit your desktop needs, GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND.
