Mac vs. PC

So I've been thinking of getting a MacBook. What think you? Considering that I can get Windows on it anyway...

then install linux, its 1000x better than a mac, and without the lock in

Oh, and I forgot to mention that price is not a factor. And I am not interested in Linux at the moment.

why not?

you can run both windows and linux in dual boot, and get the best of both worlds.

and if price isnt a issue, you can get a high end PC to cope with decent games while on windows, and everything else on linux.

you can do that with mac, mac can run windows as a program in a window, thats awesome, kinda pointless, but shuts up the idiots that say "mac cant run windows programmes...bullsh1tbullsh1tbullsh1t..."

There is NO reason for someone our age to get a macbook over a pc.

PC: Games + Everything a Mac can do, and more 3rd party apps.

Mac: WoW + Everything a Mac can do.

God, I hate it when I see kids at school all impressed when they see a Mac. It's just a more expensive, less compatible PC. It's very nice and sleak, but my god.

Get a pc and just get vista. It pretty much gives you all the things a mac does, but in the comfort of a regular pc. If your not doing anything that has to do with the "computer" profession, no need for a mac. Even then a lot of people say the macs days are comming to a close with all the new crap microsoft is comming out with.

Though I do <3 macs..they lost my support in the commercial that said pc is bad because you use different parts from different places. From a gammer stand point I like my pc MUCH more then our mac.

I don't know anything much about Mac, I'm a PC person, but if you're smart you won't wase your time with Vista. At least not yet. Wait at least a few more years before "upgrading" from XP as Vista not only has ridiculous vulnerabilities and instabilities Microsoft programmers can't even explain yet much less be able to fix, but an estimated 40% of recent softwares out on store shelves run on XP but not Vista. They haven't made Vista backwards-compatible with all XP and earlier windows because the infrastructure of Vista is different than earlier Windows. Once again, Microsoft panics and loses their shirts at the drop of a hat from Apple and releases a product that's not even finished yet. Now instead of improving performance and expanding backwards-compatibility, MS programmers are too busy sending you hotfixes and auto updates through your internet connection to rectify. I'd like to learn more about Mac.
