Better Graphics.
Larger worlds.
More fun worlds.
Better gameplay.
better music.
better story.
More interactive
More player activity
More player community where you have to work together.
It's just more interesting in every single way!

Anyways, it has one thing over WoW, it's FREE, and for it's graphics, it offers good to moderate gameplay, and is a bit more user friendly.

Well I have played both and I've played both for a while. They both have their own positives and negatives. I'll have to vote for WoW, as it just seems better to me. I did enjoy my time playing Runescape just not as much as WoW.

runescape is horrible. My 6 year old neice could play it..well. Wow has alot more to offer, but you have to pay for it. So if you don't have a lot of money and play on and off, runscape or any of those (really bad) free mmo's will be better. But if your a hard core gamer, uh, little runescape aint going to cut it.

the grapics are horrible, but, its free.
If you go from a game like Wow, everquest, vanguard, any "big" mmo's, to a free one, it makes me feel really stupid. Like I'm playing a game ment for a little kid. When I'm bored of wow I try different free mmo's, and just playing them for an hour makes me go back to WoW. There is no comparision.

WoW just has way more content, way more choices, bigger world, more indepth. It's a true mmo. The free ones a just really bad knock offs. But hey, I guess their good if you dont want to pay 15$ a month. In the end your going to get bored of any mmo, pay for it or free.

Lol - 6 year olds play WoW, my friend. If you really got into Runescape, it was MUCH more deep than WoW as far as stats go.

Clearly you only saw it for a little bit, or you simply didn't get it...seriously, there's no comparison to the level of character uniqueness you can have in Runescape to WoW both statistically and visually.

But meh. WoW is obviously the blind man's MMO. Anybody can jump right on and play it...why the hell else would 9mil people pay 15 a month for that crap .

@Ritsko, it isn't for kids in general, it actually has more in depth stats and quests etc...

The only thing I can think of that's decent about WoW, is the graphics, but we all know if we're going to have flashy as graphics, that the gameplay will probably be some what lacking.

I reckon the community in RS is a bit more friendly too, I remember being a noob, and quite a number of people would help me, and than become eventual long time friends on RS.

Wow has some of the best gameplay out there, so many games have stolen from it. It is amazingly easy to play but hard to master. Just how it is supposed to be.

Also wow has a amazingly interesting and interactive story.
