Hi, I am a Ph.D. student at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. I am currently doing some research on games immersion, and so I am posting my survey here, hoping that all you gamers out there will find it in your hearts to spend approximately 20-25 minutes completing a survey for my research. Hi again, SurveyMonkey is simply an online survey tool, it is what I am using to host my survery, and where the responses will be saved. I am looking at making games better for the user through the use of adaptive measures. This means adapting the games to each individual user, which can be done through the use of various games components, such as story line, game pace and game challenge. The answers to the survey will allow me to determine which game or game genre I will proceed to use for my further research. well i can't do it cause it says You have to be 18 years or older to participate in this survey and i'm only 17

Yes you do have to be 18 to do the survey. That is because my research is focused to adults (as working with children is totally different). I am not saying you are a child, or that at the age of 18 you will magically become an adult, only that 18+ is the commonly accepted age of adults, and so that is what I have to adhere to. well just to let you know theres not alot of 18 year olds on here they might be a few but there all mainly around 16 or 17 on here
