Was unaware of the band so I checked them out.

All I can say is that I wish I was still unaware of them.
I was suprised with amount the vocals sounded like something from Bullet From My Valentine. There wasn't a great deal of folk in it.

I mean most of their stuff I tracked down sounds like a crappy metalcore band you would hear along side Atreyu on a ****ty music channel like Kerrang. Every now and then there is a bit of a folky interlude or intro but it sounds completely ill fitting and thrown in for the sake of it.

Still at least it isn't Alestorm

You probably got the new stuff - the old one's much more into folk, but either way ,I love what they do

About Korplikaani and Finn Troll - don't like them at all, sorry, hehe ;D
I love EK for their sound and lyrics and I don't feel those two have anything in common with that ...

That's not exactly my cup of tea but it's not that bad as Cephalopod says.
The guys are just doing something that is more or less modern and it doesn't mean that everybody should like it.

I'm always open to new music. Although the few songs I listened to wasn't my cup of tea either, but ill listen to a few others and see what I find. There is almost always at least one song from an album I will like.
