Musical identity crisis!!?

Ok...so here i am...hating on every other music we talk aout other than metal right?

Then i think to myself...am i a real metal head?

The answer is no. I prefer nu metal and hard rock,alternative rock and alternative metal.

Why cant i just find music i like? WTF? Im switching between rock genres...and now im in hard rock.

you're just varied in your tastes. there's nothing wrong with that. it's actually a very good thing.

but ya. it's great that you can like different things rather than just sticking to one type of music. it makes you more diverse.

Yeah? Ive been in classic rock,punk,rock,metal,death metal and a small rap phase.

Im finally stuck with hard rock and alternative....but i just want to apologise to those i have offended with certain comments about music.

It just evolves. I was the same as you, first i listened to what every pop. A1 Britney spears etc. Then Metal was popular, Iron Maiden disturbed, hammerfall, etc. Then I became who I am now, And this is by far the best.

Why are most metalheads so fixed on genres? Can't you just listen to what you like and enjoy it?

Because...for a metalhead like me there are many different genres that are related with one another.

If you have listened to metal for as long as i have you would hear a distinct difference between hardcore and hard metal. Death and power metal. Nu and alternative metal.

That kind of thing....they may be related but they are completly different.

Btw im into death metal now.

I wouldn't call that I think one of their songs is kinda good "listening to"

See? Athos knows what im talking about. Its subtle but obvious at the same time.

I like death metal because the musci is brutal but it tells a story at the same time.

Its not the classification i after. Its the type of metal that i really like is all.

Right now im trying hardcore and straight edge stuff. I like it...ive listened to hardcore more than any other type of music really.
