PlayStation vs Nintendo 64

I have never played on an N64, but since Oddworld is my favorite series, I think the PS is better.

I picked PS1 just because.

They are both good systems, quite equal for their time.

i prefered N64, better games, better graphics, more players and mine still works unlike my PS1.

and of course there was Goldeneye and Super Mario 64, 2 of my favorite games of all time.

Lol, yea, im not even going to start on how many times my playstation broke >.<

they were both very very well matched consoles though, both had good games and graphics. it all really just depended on what games you liked more.

Dunno PS1 I think. Had the best games for me ff7 8 and 9. Though I didn't play them before 2 years ago, lol.

I had neither ps1 or n64.

I like 64 better for the better multi-player capabilites and it has my two favorite games. I would say PS1 had better games then n64 but not for multi-player. If your a single player gamer PS1 if you love playing with your buddies N64, Mario party = <3

PlayStation for me by a LARGE margin.

I had an N64 and there were only four good exclusive games throughout the entire lifespan of the system, in my opinion. Super Mario 64, Super Mario Kart, Paper Mario and Super Smash Brothers.

for me i would say playstation mostly because i owned only that

zelda game was fun once i was playin it and like an astriod was going to hit so i put on a mask with a shell and just hid sat there in the open l0l also starcraft was actuly pretty good on there as well as starfox 64=pwn pwn pwn

I think both were very good system now that im older. When i was a young boy i would just go SHIFFY FURR IS BETTERRRR.

But i do give props to the PS1 for putting games on discs

^ agreed, infact i think thats why companies made more games for the ps1, because they liked the disc format.

Well the N64 was one of my first consoles, so 64 definitely however the PS1 did bring about the whole using the discs thing....and utilized it well...

Still, 64 definitely....had too many memories playing it.

Well, I'm a bit torn

You see, growing up, I had always wanted an N64 for all the amazing titles they had on it. LoZ: OoT, and MM. Super Mario 64 and last but most certainly not least, Super Smash Brothers (which to this day remains the greatest in the series. I really hated brawl).

But I remember coming home one day and my dad had bought us a PS1. Needless to say, I played that hours on end. I don't remember very many games for it, since most are either sold or just broken and/or lost, but I do remember I had fun.

All and all, I'd say the N64 for the mere fact that when I played it at a friends house, they couldn't pull me away from it because it was so addicting. At least when I played the PS1 I could actually get away from it.

Yeh the N64 had the same effect on me too, I mean playing Starfox 64 or Lylat Wars as it was called in Australia was just so damn FUN!

64 is awesome but ps1 had resident evil 1 and 3 which are great games

I didn't necesarrily like Resident Evil until the fourth installment. I just really didn't like the whole third person camera angle view you cant control that makes it hard to shoot things.

But it might of been because it was resident evil 2 and not 1 or 3.
