Ubuntu

I've found my Ubuntu CD and installed it again, Liking it so far, I dunno why I uninstalled it last time.

Any ways does any one know how to customize it so It goes faster, It's working perfectly fine right now but I wanna make it so it loads faster.

Any ideas?

Well, it doesn't take much to run it in the first place. I don't know why it wouldn't be fast already XD

Ahh know i know the reason why i uninstalled it, It's so friggin hard to use how the crap do i install wine, I did it last time >.< now i need to upgrade to 8.04.

or you could get Xubuntu which runs faster?

Yeah i might get Xubuntu, But can i install wine on that?, I'm gonna try it next week.

I've already installed Windows again >.<, Ubuntu just pissed me off lol.

Xubuntu is just Ubuntu with a different Window manager. It can do everything Ubuntu can, but it's faster. And how in the hell is it hard to install WINE?

You go to applications > Terminal and type

"sudo apt-get install <programhere>"

"sudo apt-get install wine"

OR just use the GUI. Open add/remove programs. Ubuntu is WAY easier to install crap in than Windows.

I am tribooting windows, Mac OS X Leopard, and Ubuntu Linux. Out of all them I use Mac the most. Ubuntu is ok I don't like some of the features that come with it.

beauty of linux, if there is a debian based distro that has some things you dont like, you can either get rid of them... or look at another distro

idk what it is but Linux just really isn't my type of OS. Though it has some nice features (ex: the wobble windows, cube desktop, etc.) some are over rated.

Get the alternate if for some reason that one doesn't work for you.
