Well, I decided to install Beryl (Compiz-Fusion) and it truly is beautiful. So far, I have no idea how to get the cooler exit/open/minimize effects to work, but I've successfully built a 3D desktop cube, along with wobbly windows, much better window manager, and so forth. I have nothing but good things to say about this.

It's awesome because it doesn't require much GFX usage at all. I've got it running on my laptop (My weak one) and it's not meant for gaming and doesn't have a powerful video card.

i had a dell dimension (old one), n i installed linux on it (ubuntu). i tried to install compiz fusion but it didnt work.

Then your video card must not have been good enough. This laptop's video card is integrated into the motherboard, not a dedicated one. It's not very excellent, but runs Compiz-Fusion well. I love how it doesn't take much resources to get it running well.

Zomg, there is something on Linux that i did before Emarian! I installed Compiz Fusion a month or so ago, and i totally agree, some of the things you cando with it look truely awesome!
