Because it sucks.

Metal is really popular in Norway, I must say I hate most metal but some of it I like. The one that you can rock to, it is a drift between metal and stoner rock, it CAN be heavy but it's not like death.

Also I like Kamelot, which is epic/power metal.

Though I hate most powermetal because it is corny and just a big LOL, Kamelot is serious, and doesn't sound goofy like the rest.

Kamelot I like, a mate of mine has 1 of there CD's, and it sounds pretty cool.

I don't advertise Elliott Smith wherever I go, in fact, i hate talking about him.

And i also do not believe he killed himself; there is a lot of evidence and simple common sense pointing to foul play.

If you knew anything about Smith, you'd know this, too.

Same goes for your roommate.

I'm not going to talk anymore about Elliott Smith, but do not insult him anymore.

I stated in the post that I wasn't attacking you in any regard directly. I forgot to state that I have seen other fans who are like my roomate.

I'm pretty sure he knows plenty about the man. How can you know how he died for sure? Were you there? You can have your opinion and he can have his. It doesn't mean you're right because you read more websites about him than he does.

So he might not have killed himself but he was a drug addict. He gets no respect from me.

Although Angeles and Miss Misery are pretty good songs. :3:

No, I did not immediately conclude that he is an idiot...the fact that he puts him as a counter-strike display name goes quite a bit far, though.

And I honestly don't believe that any artists would want their work to be carried out through counter-strike...if he appreciates him for more than his musical talent, I would have thought he'd assumed this.
