I would say the most revolutionary were the ones that came out in the early '80s. That itself speaks volumes.

The best now would be DS, imho, but with the global rise in mobile gaming and the continue advances in miniaturization I would take a stab at mobile phones supplanting those games in the near future. Nothing better than those in a crowded train.

They still have some ways to go in terms of graphics and overall games but they are growing in leaps and bounds every year.

The original Game Boy is the best handheld ever. Period. End of story. Not the color, not the Pocket, the original gray, fat, monochrome Game Boy.
And it came packaged with Tetris! How much better can it get?

i think we all know that the Game Boy Colour was the ultimate in hand held gaming, and the brilliance of Pokemon Yellow will never be beaten, except possibly by the origional Super Mario on GB of course.

Gameboy (all of them Original - DS)
PSP
NeoGeo pocket

Of those I’ve definitely played my Gameboys the most… Though I love Final Fantasy Tactics: the Lion Wars on PSP just cause I’m a massive FFT fan. The DS has been lack luster for me so far no game has really jumped at me other Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. So over all Gameboy, but for the moment PSP.

Another thing I really should mention is the PSP's abilities to emulate... That’s awesome. As well as it's ability to do other portable things... I can listen to music, Watch movies, browse the web (thought you can do that on a DS too), and even watch shows I've recorded with Tivo. So on those terms the PSP is best I would say.

Out of all of them i'd have to say PSP is best, Nintendo Gameboy is most origional but PSP is best, since you can do alot of things with a PSP.

I plan on getting one sometime in the future.....

oh no, i love apple comuters and iPods are the king of mp3 players, but theres something about the iPhone that makes it seem so pointless, i think its possibly the outraously small memory mixed with the outragously large price.

I know what you mean RT! I have a 2 GB iPod (thats enough memory for me, im not gonna have any more than 500 songs on it!). M phone has 82 Mb memory without a memory stick, and thats enough too! 2BH i dont mind when it comes to computers, just aws long as it has a good processor, RAM and memory on it, and pretty quick broadband, im not bothered!

Game Gear hands down. They were smart enough to have a back lit screen and the first ones too. Good sound system and you look so bad-ass walking around carrying a mini TV.
