They both have their pros and cons, I couldn't really decide between the two and that's why I own both.

since ds sales massively outnumber Psp sales, and i know at least 5x more people who own a DS than what i know who own a Psp

PSP is a waste of money. it has the same graphics on PS2 and a smaller annoying screen. not to mention the gameplay for most games has been tampered with and most of them suck now(Fifa Street 2 for example). though i dont have a DS i say that DS is better than a PSP.
