I think gameplay wise it's about the same. However the addition of some interesting pokemon with odd element combos is pretty cool for building a fun and tough team to compete with. They added a lot more of the rare types (steel, dark, ghost, dragon, etc) and added combos we have never seen before including Ghost/Dragon, Steel/Dragon, and added another of the combo with no weakness Dark/Ghost, So over all building a team is my favorite part so I like it a lot so far.

My current party is:
Toterra Lvl:49
Floatzel Lvl:43
Luxray Lvl:47
Rapidash Lvl:43
Abomasnow Lvl:43
Dialga Lvl:47

I have 2 teams set up for the Elite Four. My first is the pre-national dex team, it consists of:

Empoleon (water/Steal)
Shuckle (bug/Rock)
Rampardos (rock)
Dialga (steel/Dragon)
Garchomp (dragon/ground)
Gengar (ghost/poison)

And my second is the post national dex "dream team"

Giratina (Ghost/Dragon)
Dialga (Steel/Dragon)
Empoleon (Water/Steal)
Shedinja (Bug/Ghost)
Sableye (Dark/Ghost)
Metagross (Steel/Psych)

The first team is just to get me the national dex so I can build my dream team. The second is mainly based on vulnerability, each type has little to no weakness, Sableye has no weakness, Shedinja is totally unaffected by well over half the elemental spectrum, and the others have very few X2 weaknesses.

Meh, I'm pretty old school graphics mean nothing to me... A majority of my favorite games have the worst graphics you'll ever see.

But yes, they are slightly better.

I know what you mean graphics aren't that big of a deal to me but is Diamond or Pearl any dif from the others?

dont judge a game by its graphics the gameplay matters but if graphics fits you... suit yourself butgraphics also do matter...a bit

Agreed...Red Alert 1 is an incredible game for PC, supremely graphical or not.

Graphics don't have to be good for me to be pleased. Excellent games, not so good graphics:
Breath Of Fire 1-4 (SNES, PS1)
Legend Of Zelda
Legend Of Zelda: Link To The Past
Legend Of Zelda: Both Oracles
Megaman Legends
In fact, all Megamans
Metroid (Not Prime, It was good, but had good graphics, so can't go here. =D)

I think if you can get a good combo of game play and graphics that’s the best but I’ll take quality game play over stellar graphics any day.
