Post Team to Advanced Users

Well, I was thinking that "Post Team" is a bit lame.

And all you really get is to view the mod forum and a title. I had a very good idea today, and that is:

Why not replace the post team with a group called Advanced Users? They would be trusted users, and they would basically be upgraded user accounts. For example, they would be able to close their OWN threads ONLY, not someone's else threads, their own posts, they would be able to delete their own thread. For example, anything they post can be soft deleted. (Of course not hard deleted, only mods can do that.) I figure that it would be a good idea because they would be able to delete their own posts or a thread that they forgot to add something to, and help save work for mods.

What do you guys think? It would also fulfill the main use of the post team, and that's to prepare people for moderatorship. Thoughts?

I put this in the public section because I figured it would be community and staff based. If it's yes, I'll create the group. If no, then not.

They would basically just be normal members with one or two extra powers, they would not be able to view the Mod Control Panel or anything..

EDIT2:
If this is accepted, all post team members will become advanced users.

Meh. This is still kind of taking away from mods as a whole.

The "Advanced Users" that we have right now are fine...I mean, really, mods are mods, they need to do their job, and the Post Team members need to wait their turn for a mod.

Seriously; who has ever wanted and deserved modship and not received it?

The post team doesn't need any more perks, man.

But my god, the entire post team will vote for this. >.<

Lol, mods have plenty of work nowadays, as GL gets more popular, so will spam. xD Like we've seen recently around here.

And I meant this to encourage users, because it can take a long while to become a mod, as displayed with Jorgi and Gl Unreal. They're great examples.

But they didn't ask for it, as they have stated many times. They haven't been "waiting" for it.

They still don't need any more perks than they already have.

And my god, being a good mod doesn't take a lot of work, it just means that you actually have to be a hardass sometimes, and you need to take GL under your responsibility.

Seriously. This definitely shouldn't happen.

Having the title and viewing the mod forum is good enough. xD.

I think that's an "AWESOME" idea, post team is ok, but advanced user does sound good to me

Should Advanced User be a different group, keeping Post Team, or be replaced?

Now that it is me and Halcyon now on the post team.
