A.

Insert the Retail Tactical Ops CD, Once the Tactical Ops Installer pops up click install and follow all instructions till you have completed the Install

If your version of Tactical Ops AoT is not v3.4.0 you must update & patch your Tactical Ops, The following update can be obtained here

Copy and paste this link into your favourite browser.

Once you have downloaded this file, Run the file and patch Tactical Ops, Remember this patch is ONLY for the Tactical Ops retail version.

Once everything is set you must configure some parts of your Tactical Ops files to set up the server, The following files you must configure are

TacticalOps.Ini / Server.Ini


The following files you must download

TOST 4.2 (For Tactical Ops 3.4.0) complete

TOST complete | Tactical Ops Serveradmin Tool

To set up your Tactical Ops Server you need to Extract the *.U files from TOST 4.2 into your Tactical Ops System Folder found by going to

Start > My Computer > ( C: ) Local Disk > Program Files > Infogrames > Tactical Ops (Or what ever you have called your TO Server) > System

The files you must extract are 

TOSTTools.U
TOSTProtect1994.u
TOSTIRC.u (Optional)
TOSTHitParade.u
TOSTGUICtrl.u
TOSTFun.u (Optional)
TOSTClient.u 
TOST42.u

Once you have extracted these files you must now find the TacticalOps.ini file (The notepad with the Gear), Once you have found this open it and find the following.

Press CTRL + F and type in [Engine.GameEngine]

You will then see 

CaacheSizeMegs=
UseSound=
ServerActors=
ServerPackages=

At the bottom of ServerPackages add the following

ServerPackages=TOST42
ServerPackages=TOSTProtect1994
ServerPackages=TOSTGUICtrl
ServerPackages=TOSTClient
ServerPackages=TOSTHitparade

At the very top of ServerActors add the following

ServerActors=TOST42.TOSTServerActor

Once you have done this scroll down to the bottom of the Notepad and add the following


[TOST42.TOSTServerMutator]
TOSTLogEnabled=True
TOSTLogFilter=
TOSTLogFileFormat=TOST.%NAME.%YYYY.%MM.%DD.%HH.%MI.%SS.log
Pieces[0]=TOSTTools.TOSTServerTools

Pieces[4]=TOSTFun.TOSTFunPiece

Pieces[7]=TOSTHitparade.TOSTHitparade
Pieces[8]=TOSTTools.TOSTBanList

Save and close the Notepad.

[Commands]

ShowAdminTab
ShowGameTab
ShowVoteTab

In your System folder you will find TacticalOpsWinServer (Windows with Gear in the middle), Run it and wait till the commands stop, If the command keeps looping you have a error.

Once it has stopped, Close the command prompt.

Now open TacticalOps.Ini, And look for (Press CTRL + F) and type in [Engine.GameReplicationInfo], And edit the following

ServerName= (Your Server Name)
ShortName= (Your Server Name)
AdminName= (Your Admin Name)
AdminEmail= (Your Email)
Region=0
MOTDLine1= (Message of the day *Optional*)
MOTDLine2= (Message of the day *Optional*)
MOTDLine3= (Message of the day *Optional*)
MOTDLine4= (Message of the day *Optional*)

Now, Once you have done (Press CTRL + F) and type in [IpServer.UdpServerUplink]

You will now see (Replace the current with the following)

[IpServer.UdpServerUplink]
DoUplink=True
UpdateMinutes=1
MasterServerAddress=master0.gamespy.com
MasterServerPort=27900
Region=0

Save and close the NotePad.

You must now configure your Ports

To log into your router go into any choice of browser and type into the Browser

Http://10.0.0.1 A command asking for your Username & Password will come up type in

Username: Admin
Password: Admin

(Unless you have changed it)

If nothing happens after you type in Http://10.0.0.1, Go to 

IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup

There it will display your IP Address replace Http://10.0.0.1 with Http://(Your IP Address), And use the following

Username: Admin
Password: Admin

Look for your router here

Once you have follow all instructions on how to foward your router

Name All Ports TacticalOps1, TacticalOps2 and so on

The ports you need are

TCP / UDP (Both Protocols)

7777

7778

7779

8080

27500

27900

28900

I am sure these are not all required, But It's best to open them all.

If you are required to save and restart your router please do so.

Once you have done this you may need to disable your firewall, Once done please go back to your system folder and run

TacticalOpsWinServer

Thats It your done, Your server may now be listed into the Global List, You can access your server by going to Open Location > 127.0.0.1, You may not be able to see your own server, But others may so it's best to get some one to check it for you.

Installing TOST Weapons

Open TacticalOps.Ini

Found in Infogrames > Tactical Ops > System

Once open press CTRL + F and now find [Engine.GameEngine] And add in the following into the server packages.

!Required
ServerPackages=TOSTWeapons42
ServerPackages=TOSTWeaponsClient42

!Optional - Add in these if you want to add in the weapons
ServerPackages=C4Pack42
ServerPackages=FamasPack42
ServerPackages=SteyrAugPack42
ServerPackages=TearGasPack42

Now press CTRL + F and look for [TOST42.TOSTServerMutator] and add in the following to the last piece

TOSTWeaponsServer42.TOSTWeaponsServer

Save and close the notepad.

Restart your server
