Honestly halo has to be one of the most over rated games of all time. Its a good game, dont get me wrong, but seriously its not the greatest game ever made as many people make it sound.

Barely any originality in all three Halo's. It's an OK First-Person shooter, but it has no competition with Half-Life, Doom, and Goldeneye 007.

As for Halo 3, the visuals have improved but it still isn't as good as Call of Duty 4. Campain is too short, c'mon, 5-6 hours. (Now don't tell me to play Multiplayer, that seems to be the only "amazing" quality about Halo)

A) Campaign is only an hour or so longer in CoD 4. I know, I just beat it.

B) Halo 3 is not as overrated as you people seem to make it, you can't tell me one other game in that genre (fastpaced sci-fi fps) that stands up to the quality of it.

And you say it has no originality, but the main reason you guys say this is because it is so popular, and everyone knows about it. This, for some reason, puts through your heads that it has no originality.../sigh.

Just because it spawned little games that DON'T have originality, doesn't mean it didn't have it from the get-go.

Never heard of zombies before.

It's all in how it's implemented. It's the details. All you did was just generalize a game.

That's like me saying "Oh god, a Tarantino flick; another stupid, nonsensical, violent movie".

Well it's pretty much a modern-day Zombies Ate My Neighbors and fairly based off of Dawn of the Dead. But the story itself, is original and pretty deep for a humorous ggames.

Haha, a Taratino film "violent" Compared to 300, any Arnold movie, and pretty much any action movie, it's nothing in terms of violence. With the exception of Kill Bill 1 and 2.

Note: I never said Halo 3 was 100% un-original. Just the main plot (Aliens take over the earth, it's up to one man to save the world) is. I believe all games are original in their own way, but people always brag about Halo's plot being creative, which it's not. However, the levels are pretty impressive in terms of enviroment. I'm also not saying Halo sucks, I could play all three for a while.

You're still generalizing. The plot is creative in many ways, but as I previously stated, it has become the standard, leading to a subconscious acceptance that it's already been done many times before. Ya, the base of the plot has, but just like Dead Rising, it has a great form of originality to it. You cannot name me a game that is just like Halo that came previously. Yes, there are "Aliens take over the world" games, but not with 3 different sides to the war, religion tying into it, and characters you actually begin to care about.

Halo didn't "do it again."

Halo did it right.

Hallo 3 is overrated. I own a copy and I brought it soley for the cinimagraphics. Its kind of like a movie to me more than a game. The physics and engine are good but the cutscenes are what I live for. Call of Duity 4 Modern Warfare is way better than Halo3. Thats just my oponion
