Ya; I get what ya mean, Jiraiya. That's why a lot of games on the N64 were scary for me at that point - it was always so unexpected. I believe it's an age thing, though. Obviously games like this are not nearly as scary to me as they were back then.

Have you played this shooter called "Shadow Man" on the 64? Seriously, I played the game via Emulator recently, and I still shriek at the zombies who run from the side loooool. *Fraidy Cat* xD Also in Goldeneye the music was so subtle, like in the Facility level, music would be quite, than bang an enemy would pop out of no where xD

I would have to say that FEAR is the scariest fps for me. All those visions and gore made me not want to continue playing haha. Did anybody else get a little bit dizzy playing FEAR by the way? | |||||||||||

FEAR is for wussies play System Shock 1 and 2, you won't even be able to finish. I still can't bring myself to beat 2.

system shock 1 is a old MSDOS game, also out on the mac. and system shock 2 is for MS windows. i also believe it was the predessessor for bioshock wasnt it? | |||||||||||

Not sure =/ Still, take a look at Shadow Man on the 64, it's hell of a lot scarier than most people make it out to be, with zombies, blood, and visions and what not. *Tries to blot out memory of playing Shadow Man*

Resident evil isn't a FPS and never was. 4 was an over shoulder view and most of the time it was in 3rd person. But I agree with Condemned, especially number 2 when I was going go the cabin with the bear, oh man!

scary games are going downhill now. Doom 3 was a drag, soooo much worse than Doom original. **** would jump out all the time, soo much better

silent hill had one of the scariest intro levels ever made on any game as far as i was concerned. I mean, i first played it when it first came out so i must have been 10 or below and it stuck with me for years lol
