Okay so we need to prune the gfx team down a bit, this is what me and grave have decided.

First we will have a contest between anyone who wants to get the chance to be on the team, this means for a short time GFX Team applications are open!
The top 2 from the preliminary round mentioned above will then be entered into a GFX team only contest. This means the only members taking part will be those that either won the right to take part by winning the above contest, or those that are already on the GFX team.

The rules for the preliminary round are as follows.

Theme: Freestyle
Max sig size: 400 X 150
Pre-made sigs: No

Most importantly NO RIPPING, this must be your work and nobody else's.

Entries will be taken in on the 1st and we will announce the 2 lucky winners on the same day, then you will be allowed to enter into the GFX team only contest, which we will announce the theme for on the 1st, and we will take in all the entries when SOTM voting is closed.

All GFX Team members places are up for grabs except mine and graves, as the two heads of the GFX Team we keep our places. All other team members will be expected to enter, if you dont you will not be on the team.

at a later date i will be putting my place as Co-Head up for grabs against the other people on the GFX team.

the judges, which will remain anon, will be voting on 3 key areas:

Concept/Idea
Skill used
Overall Likeability

Unlike before we will NOT be taking in late submissions, if you don't get your entry in on time your not on the team, its that simple.

When the actual voting starts, only the top 5 members will be kept in the GFX team, this means 2 out of the current 7 members (excluding me and grave) will be dropped, possibly more if any of the 2 previous winners beat any of the GFX team members.

EDIT: Incase i didnt get it clear, we need your entries in ASAP , we need as many as possible in before the 1st, we will NOT be accepting your entry if you say to us you got held back unless you give a very good reason for it.

Finally someone does something. Talk to me plawks grif about judging cause I wouldn't mind doing it. I used to do graphic design for our school for two years but a teacher made me hate it because she was incredibly mean to me. I think we should change it from free style to Gamelair. Give them a challenge and also benefit gamelair by giving some interesting designs for possible advertising. Or to just put in your siggy. ^_^

only the qaulified/preliminary round is freestyle, when the actual contest starts we WILL have a theme, to make it more challenging.
