Star Wars Writing Contest #1

Ever been interested in continuing the story of the Star Wars saga?
Read the books, learned what the expanded universe is all about?

Well, here's a contest for you.

Rules:

Write a story based inside of the Star Wars universe; a continuation of the saga. It can be a follow-up or prelude to a book, or an entirely new story.

1) Stories must follow the star wars canon.
2) Grammar/spelling has to be acceptable. "i no im too pacific" is not.
3) Must be a member who has spent at least one month on Gamelair.

Grand Prize: Mod for a Day, Cooperative Writing of an Expanded Universe novel. (More TBD)

2nd Prize: TBD

3rd Prize: TBD

No offense, but that isn't a very good prize. A mod for a day? Lets say hypothetically that I win. Do you choose, or do I choose what day to be a mod? What if you choose the day, but I'm not on?
I say that the grand prize ahould be RPG mod for a week. (So we can get it working again...)
1st prize should be for 3 days.
2rd should be for one day. etc...

And on a different note, what KIND of novel should we write, how long should it be, and are there restrictions? Should it be humorous, dramatic, suspenseful, or all of the above?

No, there are no restrictions. That's why I didn't post em up there

Example:

Describe the life of a character who's planet is on the outer rim. To be safe, make one up

(the planet), and if you'd like, somehow relate the planet to an already published star wars story.

And you choose the day, Athos.

But RPG mod, no. That's not really in demand by most, lol.

Do we even still have one?

Oh. And this is a story, not a novel, that you'll be writing. The novel will come later, you'll work with me and it will be publicized on Gamelair and Star Wars related sites.

Just as long as you don't do any messups with the canon xD.

So.... just mod for a day? I'll write a story, but not for the mod for a day idea. I just LOVE writing Sci-fi/Humorous/Spoof storys. Maybe mod for a week though, and if the winner is a good mod for a week, then make it permanent? I think that sounds fair.

Well, it can be funny, but not a spoof. Like I said, it has to follow the canon.
