| You betr Believe it | now i wanted to make a thread like this and i know and read the other threads like this and wanted to post but they were locked because some couldnt control themselves and started swearing and going of topic. Now im gonna say this dont post here if you know ur gonna flip out at some one in the end and getting this thread locked. And this isnt just about XBL and PSN. Now that this is said post away. Post which one(s) you prefer and/or like and why. One Rule: No Swearing on this thread I like PS3. I like the games it offer. No offense but i dont like Halo. I like how it preforms and the simplicity of it. I like the system updating methods and its online browsing capabalties and like how easy it is to sign up and use PSN and i like that its free because i just think that u shouldnt have to pay additionally for online after paying for the system. And i have Played on Xbox and Wii both great systems and fun to play on. The only thing is that the xbox controller is sort of bulky and big imo. Once again none of this is personal Edit: ok someone contribute

![]() | I agree with you. I do like most of the games on the Playstation consoles. To be frank, I've never really played Nintendo games. My first game console was Sega Genesis and after some years, I was introduced to Playstation, then a Dreamcast, then a Playstation 2, then XBOX, and now PS3. So I never really played a Nintendo 64 and therefore never had reasons to turn to a gamecube and then the Wii. I do own a GameCube and a GameBoy Advance. (I know that must sound weird, but my sister and I once did a business of selling video games and consoles and that's why we owned many different consoles.) Also, the only reason my family got a XBOX was because of Dead or Alive 3, Halo, Ninja Gaiden and... Fusion Frenzy. Hahaha. I played Fusion Frenzy with a bunch of friends and I got hooked. (BTW, great party game.) I realized that there weren't many RPGs on the XBOX and mainly sports games or first person shooters. I love Halo, I do... I just don't want to play that everyday of my life. So I do think in terms of varieties of games, I preferred my PS2 (can't really compare PS3 yet, since I don't own too many games on that console...). Through PS2 I played most of my favorite RPGs and Action-Adventure games. Those are my two favorite genres, so I guess I'm being really bias.

![]() ![]() ![]() | the xbox didnt have any true rpgs, the few it did were action rpgs. the 360 has put that right, it has some very nice rpg titles (lost odyseyy, blue dragon, final fantasy 13, etc). xbox live has more players and a more refined service when compared to the psn, but both online systems work....but you get what you pay for with xbox live, and its only 40 quid or so extra for a entire year, not enough to burn a massive whole in your pocket. if you think about it, a 360 elite + a 1 year subscription to xbox live is still less than the equivelent PS3. it also has some good shooters obviously... halo, gears of war, etc. its also getting fallout3 soon which looks impressive.

![]() | Well, like I've said in previous threads, the Xbox 360's online service is much better than the PSN. It's had more time to refine and fix the bugs than the PSN. And like Grif said, the subsciption won't cost you a fortune, and it's worth it. I don't know much about the PSN, but for 60 or so dollars a year that includes: Friends Lists Messaging Voice Chat/Video Chat Downloadable Movies, T.V shows Downloadable content, incuding gamer pictures, themes, game content, Updates for Games Online Achievements Playing with people and around the World and more, I think it's worth it. Plus the Xbox 360 is getting a full makeover on the dashboard come this November, making it more sleek and stylish. And with the new features coming along with the update (Stream Netflix movies to you console and play the NBC t.v show 1v100 for real world prizes) the 360 is goin to be a force to be reconned with.

![]() ![]() ![]() | lol jorgi at the "it has already had a makeover", it may have done but it is still in its early stages, xbox live has gone through major changes many times before. really the online services have got closer, with sony stealing the whole achievements trophies thing from XBL.... but i still think xbl is better. PSN wont always be free, i have said this many many times.

| Jorgi Potter Mod | I don't care if they stole the trophies idea. We all steel from each other. We get a better thing so we shouldn't complain. btw: 360 and PS3 will get a motion sensor like wii. (lol)

![]() | Yeah, you're right Jorgi, all the different platforms steal ideas from each other. And doesn't PS3 already have a motion sensor? The controller or something is like one.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Sixaxis. the original sixaxis controller didnt have dualshock, due to copyright issues and sony needed to pay out a huge fine because of it. now they have that fixed. I doubt the 360 will have a motion sensor in its main line of controllers for a while.
