I've got a Samsung 713BM monitor and an ATi Radeon 9800 XT graphics card. When I turn on the computer the following message shows up: "Not optimum mode, recommended mode: 1280 x 1024, 60 Hz". I had that problem once. I solved it by unplugging my monitor from the DVI socket, waiting for 15 minutes and turning on all again. Right now, it doesn't work. I've never had a problem like that so far. It all started about 2 weeks ago. I don't know why. The worst thing for me would be to find out about my graphics card malfunction (however, I simply doubt about it). Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. | |||||||||||

That is actually a common problem with SAMSUNG monitors. Your best bet (if the warranty is still active) is to contact SAMSUNG and they will fix it for you or replace the whole thing. | |||||||||||

Okay, I have bought something much more quality than my old monitor, more precisely, it is about the Dell 2407WFP monitor which has a diagonal of twenty-four inches, SD card reader, HDMI port and many, many more... Last edited by Luka : 08-11-2008 at 04:10 PM. | |||||||||||
