I played this game, and OMGOSH, the storyline just kicks butt xD

I really enjoyed the whole gameplay, but the battling feature was just annoying really lol, I didn't like the idea of loading a bar in order to attack, but it was good for it's time.

It was named second best VG of all time, behind Zelda OoT, by some magazine (forget which one xD)

Also, there are alternate endings for this game, never knew did ya.

Classic game, through and through.

I love this game! I've played it over and over about 8 times through now . Never used a walkthrough of FaQ list or anything and I think I've gotten all the endings (or near).

I thought that the fighting system was pretty good, considering that the higher your speed was the bar was fastest, specially in later levels with speed items that bar was almost never loading, it was like "ATTACK-(wait .3 seconds)-ATTACK!".

Also all the extra quests and all the hidden stuff in the game gave it so many hours of gameplay.. wow for a SNES game this was just amazing . And I totally agree, the storyline for this game was incredible, I think out of all the RPGs I've played the story line for this one has been the best.

The first time I've played it, I used a walkthrough, WOE is me xD

I honestly thought, if I never used it, It would take me forever, which I don't have.

I like the battle against Magus, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. What a twist, with that scene where Chrono wakes up >.>, then Marle tells him to wake up.

Nice, did you finish the game?

I've gotten up to the last boss (Lavos), but haven't fought him yet, been putting it off for quite some time.

The story is pretty cool.

I wouldn't say I had a favorite era... but I do have a favorite ending, there are quite a few. once you beat it i'd look up how to get the "real ending" as well as the others. You can do most of them on New Game + if i'm not mistaken.

I really liked the futuristic land, it was pretty fun, and who felt sorry for Robo when he was attacked his "friends", that was sad.

I played it on my emulator in school. I didn't get very far seeing as how I was playing it in computer class but I definitely got hooked and regretted not being able to play it more. I might just start playing it again.

Chrono trigger is one of my fav RPGs on snes. very nice storyline. new game+ is definalely fun. i did the full black omen ending completing all side quests so i can get it and took me much time and effort. make sure if you play new game plus when marle wants you to try the teleport in the begininning of the game go to the right pad instead of the left and you will get a nice surprise. i own this game on both platforms it was released on and also have it on my pc. very very nice sqaresoft why cant you make games like this anymore?

I played this game in an emulator. Yeah its a nice game to play but I didn't got the chance to finish the game.. I always got pawnt by the boss. xD Maybe my characters are still weak and needed more levels. xD Any tips on which armor to use and weapons? xD

when you go to fight the boss.. i assume you mean Lavos.. how do you go to fight.. do you use the epoch or use the bucket at the end of time.. if so This is not the best way to beat the game the first time. First you should complete all the side quests that there are.. this will give you armor and weapons.. for more armor with resists you could open those black chests that have wierd symbols on them that are unopenable in the beginning of the game. if you open those boxes open the ones that are in the latest time first same locations. for example dont open the chest in the inn near guardia castle in the middle ages before opening the one in the present. if you open the ones in the present or future first then the armor will be "powered" up and have more resists on it. i also suggest getting a few Memory Caps. those prevent most status problems which will help with Lavos constantly confusing your party (eventhough eventually he will negate all your resists.) when i fought Lavos the first time i was in my 50's and i used Magus/Merle/Crono combo.. although you can really use any combo with healer/powerful magic/powerful attack. Next when you go to fight him make sure you complete the Black Omen and fight Queen Zeal. only with completing all sidequests and ending the game through the Black Omen can you unlock New Game+ mode so you can see alternate endings. New Game+ will give you all your items and gear from your last game - key items and you will retain your characters levels. then you can explore different ways of fighting lavos. Items of signifigance are the Rainbow Sword, the Upgraded Masamune, Gold stud(very important for conservation of mana) and lots of mega elixers and Lapis's. If you need anymore help i can let you know about specific sidequests or specific bosses if you need but Lavos is one tough mother with about 3 phases. so just give me the phase number your stuck at and i can give you a stratgey. Hope this helps.
